1) Will the Lockey TB gate closer open my gate a full 180 degrees?
No. The TB Series hydraulic closer is built for a maximum opening angle of 100 degrees. If the opening has to swing back flat against a fence or a wall, or a truck needs to drive through with the leaf folded all the way back, this closer will stop it short and the arm will take the abuse. Check the swing you actually need before ordering. Under 100 degrees, which covers most perimeter, pool and courtyard gates, it is within spec.
2) Does the Lockey TB gate closer latch the gate shut, or do I still need a lock?
It closes the gate, it does not secure it. A hydraulic closer controls the swing and brings the leaf back to the frame; holding it there and locking it is a separate piece of hardware. Budget for a gate latch or lock in the same order. 5) Can I mount a Lockey TB closer on a chain link or vinyl gate, or does it need a steel frame?
Vinyl, steel, wood and chain link gates are all covered by the TB Series. Mounting hardware is in the box, including the brackets and the fitting bar, and you can set the closer at the top, middle or bottom of the leaf depending on where you have solid material to anchor into. On chain link that usually means picking the rail run that gives the bracket a real bite, and on vinyl it means backing the bracket where the post and frame are reinforced rather than through hollow section alone.
6) Is the Lockey TB gate closer handed? My gate swings left.
Handing is not an ordering decision here. The TB Series mounts for both left hand and right hand swing configurations, so the same closer covers either direction and you do not order a separate handed part. What you do decide at install is the vertical position, top, middle or bottom of the gate, and that is a field choice, not a model choice. If you are outfitting a run of gates that swing different ways, one model number covers them all as long as each leaf is inside that model's weight and width range.
7) How hard is a gate with a Lockey TB closer on it to push open?
