LT-1UL UL Latching/Timer Module

The LT-1UL latching/timer module accepts 12-24 VAC or VDC, so it drops onto either a 12V or a 24V supply without a separate transformer or regulator, and it does not care whether the supply is AC or DC.

The digital timing circuit is selectable at 15, 30 or 45 seconds, or indefinite. Pick indefinite when you want the output to latch and stay latched until it is manually reset, rather than timing out on its own.

Both. The LT-1UL is selectable for Fail Safe or Fail Secure operation, so the same module covers a magnetic lock that must drop on alarm or power loss and a strike that must stay locked. Choose the mode at install to match the lock you are driving.

The output is a Form C (single pole double throw) contact rated 3A at 30VDC/125VAC. That handles most strikes and maglocks drawing under 3 amps directly. Anything above that, or a lock on a higher voltage, needs the module switching a separate relay or power supply output instead. The Form C contact also gives you both a normally open and a normally closed leg off one terminal set, which is what lets the same module do fail safe or fail secure.

The LT-1UL is UL/cUL Listed, which covers installations in both the US and Canada where an inspector requires listed components in the release circuit.

It sits between a momentary trigger (a push button, request-to-exit device, or emergency release) and the lock. A momentary press is converted into a held output: either a timed release of 15, 30 or 45 seconds so the door unlocks long enough to pass through, or an indefinite latch that holds the condition until someone resets it. Without it, a momentary button only unlocks the door for as long as the button is pressed.

The LT-1UL is sold as a single model, with no finish, voltage or timing variants to specify. Mode (fail safe or fail secure) and the timing duration are both set on the module itself at install, not chosen at the time of order.
