1) I don't know the SEU size, just the cable diameter. Which Minerallac strap do I order?
Two of the MED straps are specified by inside diameter instead of conductor size: MED9 at 0.970 inch and MED14 at 1.465 inch. Measure the cable across its widest point (SEU is oval, so measure the major dimension) and order the strap whose inside diameter matches. That is the cleanest way to spec when the cable is unmarked or you are supporting something other than a standard SE run.
2) What surfaces can I fasten this strap to, and does it come with screws?
Mounting is approved to wood, steel, concrete, and component surfaces, so the same strap works on a stud, a strut or metal panel, or a masonry wall. Fasteners are not part of the strap itself, so order them separately and match them to the substrate: wood screws into framing, self-drilling screws into steel, and a masonry anchor or concrete screw into block or poured wall.
3) Will a one-hole service entrance strap hold up outdoors on a mast or exterior wall?
It is built for it. The strap is stamped steel with a zinc plated finish, which is the standard corrosion-resistant finish for exterior service entrance work. Silver in appearance. For coastal or heavily corrosive environments, many specs call for stainless instead, so check your job spec before committing to zinc on those sites.

Keep them separate on the truck, since an oversized strap lets the cable move and an undersized one deforms the jacket.
