Mulberry 11525 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Mulberry 11525 weatherproof cover fit a standard 5 inch square electrical box?
Yes. The Mulberry CV72R3330R is sized for standard 5 inch square boxes and mounts directly to a compatible box without an adapter plate. The 5 inch square footprint is the only configuration it comes in, so it is a direct match on both new work and retrofit where a 5 inch square box is already set.
2) Can I use this Mulberry cover over a 30 amp receptacle?
Yes, 30A is the rating on the Mulberry 3330 series CV72R3330R cover, so it is matched to devices and receptacles up to 30 amps. If the device in the box is a 50A range or welder receptacle, this is not the right cover.
3) Is this Mulberry cover the same thing as an in-use (bubble) cover for an outdoor outlet?
No. The Mulberry CV72R3330R is a flat weatherproof box cover that shields the device from moisture, dust and debris on a 5 inch square box. It is not an in-use enclosure that stays protective with a cord plugged in. For that, look at the TayMac MX4380S 1-gang weatherproof in-use cover from the Extra Duty series, in aluminum.
4) I need a cover that stays protected while a cord is plugged in — is the Mulberry 11525 the right part?
The Mulberry 11525 is a flat 5" square weatherproof cover rated for devices up to 30A, intended to shield a receptacle or switch in an exposed location. If the application keeps a plug inserted, the TayMac MX4380S is a 1-gang weatherproof in-use cover from the EXTRA DUTY Series in gray aluminum, built for that duty. Note the TayMac is a 1-gang footprint, not a 5" square one.
5) How many Mulberry 11525 covers come in a pack?
The 11525 ships 100 covers per pack. That is a contractor or MRO quantity, so it suits a crew standardizing outdoor 5 inch square box covers across a site or stocking a service truck, rather than a one-off replacement.
6) What is the Mulberry part number I should order for a 5 inch square 30A weatherproof cover?
Order Mulberry 11525, catalog model CV72R3330R, from the 3330 series. One size, 5 inch square, rated 30A, supplied 100 per pack.
7) For a larger outdoor job where I am buying covers in quantity, how does the Mulberry 11525 compare to the single-gang alternatives?
The Mulberry 11525 (CV72R3330R, 3330 series) comes as a pack of 100 covers in the 5" square configuration, which suits standardizing across many identical 5" square boxes. The single-gang options are different footprints: the Bell Outdoor Comforts vertical decorator cover, the Leviton 7420 and 7788-CR self-closing covers in glass-filled thermoplastic, and the TayMac MX4380S in-use cover in gray aluminum.
