Sta-Kon B220M NONINS LKG FORK TRM 18-14 NO6 MYLAR

The B220M locking fork terminal is sized for 18-14 AWG conductors. If you're terminating 16 AWG stranded control wire or 14 AWG thermostat/fixture leads, this is the right range. Anything heavier than 14 AWG won't crimp properly in this barrel.

No insulation on the B220M, it's a bare copper fork. That means you get a lower profile and tighter spacing on a crowded terminal strip, but the crimp barrel and wire strands are exposed, so you need adequate clearance between adjacent terminals or you add your own heat shrink. For panel work where accidental phase-to-phase contact is a concern, an insulated fork terminal is the better pick.

Rated 600 V, which covers standard commercial control circuits, 120/208 V and 277/480 V branch wiring, and HVAC control panels. It also carries a UL file number, E9809.

The locking fork has tangs at the open end of the slot that grip under the screw head, so the terminal resists backing off the stud if the screw loosens from vibration. A plain spade will slide straight off. On a motor control panel, an HVAC unit, or anything that vibrates, the locking style is what you want; a plain fork is fine for static low-vibration terminal strips. Either style still lets you land the wire without pulling the screw all the way out, which is the advantage a ring terminal gives up.

Non-insulated terminals crimp with a non-insulated (open barrel style is different, this is a closed barrel) die, not the color-coded insulated die set. Using an insulated-terminal nest on a bare copper barrel gives an under-formed crimp. Match the tool to the 18-14 AWG range.

It's a copper terminal, intended for copper conductors. Aluminum branch or control wire needs a terminal rated and listed for aluminum (AL/CU) with the appropriate inhibitor compound, so this one is not the part for that job.

Country of origin is the United States. That matters on federal, state, and institutional jobs carrying Buy American or domestic-preference language, since terminals are a line item inspectors do check.

Bare metallic copper finish, no colored insulation sleeve. If the existing terminals on the strip are red, blue, or yellow nylon or vinyl, those are insulated types and this bare fork won't visually or dimensionally match them.
