That's exactly the application. The CGOM19 is a 3/4 inch (19mm) offset intermediate pivot for full surface, flush door and frame openings, and it is offset hung, so it has to go on a door already hung on 3/4 inch offset pivots at the top and bottom. It's a full mortise part, so the door and frame both get routed for it. Put it on a center hung door or a butt hinged door and the geometry will not line up.
2) Is the CGOM19 offset intermediate pivot handed, and can I use one pivot on either a left or right hand door?
Handed. The CGOM19 is made as a left hand part and a right hand part, and they are not interchangeable, so you order to the swing of the opening. If you're doing a pair of doors, that's one left hand and one right hand per pair, per intermediate location.
3) What door edge prep does the Norton Rixson CGOM19 pivot require?
The door edge has to be beveled 1/8 inch in 2 inches for the pivot to swing and align correctly, and the door and frame both take a full mortise. Cut that bevel before you rout, not after.
4) Can I use the CGOM19 intermediate pivot on a fire rated door opening?
