Metallics JG8HNM121 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size are the Metallics JG8HNM121 hex nuts, and will they fit M12 metric bolts?
The Metallics JG8HNM121 is an M12 metric hex nut, so it threads onto M12 metric bolts, studs, and threaded rod. It will not fit inch-series fasteners like 1/2-13 UNC, which is close in diameter but a different thread pitch and will cross-thread.
2) How many M12 nuts come in a jar of Metallics JG8HNM121?
Each jar holds 100 M12 hex nuts. The jar pack is useful on a service truck or MRO shelf where you want the count contained rather than loose in a bin.
3) Can I use these metric hex nuts on electrical strut and threaded rod hangers?
They are catalogued as electrical fasteners and work anywhere an M12 metric thread is used, including M12 threaded rod hangers and metric-threaded mounting hardware. If your rod or strut hardware is inch-series (3/8-16, 1/2-13), you need an inch nut instead, not this one.
4) What part number do I order for Metallics M12 metric hex nuts?
Order Metallics part number JG8HNM121 for the M12 DIN 934 hex nut in the 100-count jar.
