Metallics JG8HNM81 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size bolt does the Metallics JG8HNM81 hex nut fit?
It is an M8 metric hex nut, so it threads onto M8 metric bolts, studs, and threaded rod. Metric only, it will not mate with imperial threads like 5/16-18.
2) Is the Metallics M8 hex nut made to DIN 934?
Yes, the JG8HNM81 is a DIN 934 metric hex nut. If your drawing or panel spec calls out DIN 934 for M8 hardware, this is the matching nut.
3) How does the Metallics M8 hex nut come packaged?
Jar of 100 pieces. That is the pack type for the JG8HNM81, so ordering one gets you a shop jar rather than a loose count or a bulk box, which is how most electricians buy small metric fasteners for strut, enclosure, and tray work.
4) Can I use these M8 nuts for electrical enclosure and tray hardware?
That is what they are stocked for. The JG8HNM81 is carried as an electrical fastener, an M8 DIN 934 hex nut for use with M8 bolts and threaded rod on panels, enclosures, and support hardware.
