The Ginger mini pendant hangs to a maximum overall height of 45 inches using the rods supplied. It ships with two 6 inch rods and two 12 inch rods, so you can build the drop in 6 inch steps by combining them, plus the fixture body itself at 8-1/4 inches tall. Cut nothing: pick the rod combination that lands where you want it and leave the rest in the box.

No bulb is included. It takes one E26 medium base lamp, and the fixture is built around an A19 shape rated to a 100 watt maximum on 120 volts. Buy the lamp separately. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you install, so if you are putting it on a dimmer, choose a dimmable bulb matched to that dimmer.

Vanity yes, porch no. The Ginger pendant is rated for dry locations and indoor use only, so it cannot go anywhere exposed to moisture, including a covered exterior porch, an unconditioned garage, or directly over a shower or tub. For those spots you need a damp or wet rated fixture.

The shade is 8 inches in diameter and the fixture is 8-1/4 inches tall. Plan your spacing off that 8 inch diameter so adjacent shades do not crowd; typical island layouts leave a gap between fixtures roughly equal to the shade width. Weight is 6.09 lbs per fixture, light enough for a standard ceiling outlet box with an approved fixture strap.

It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian requirements, and it is RoHS compliant. Note the dry location restriction when you check it against the spec on the drawing. It also carries a California Prop 65 warning for lead.

It is a rod-mounted ceiling pendant, not a chain or a hardwired flush unit. Rod stem systems hang plumb only where the canopy can sit flat, so on a sloped ceiling you need a sloped-ceiling adapter or a canopy that swivels. On a flat ceiling it installs straight off a standard outlet box with 12 feet of supply wire supplied (144 inches) to work with.
