NUVO Lighting 60-7060 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What bulb does the NUVO Faro 60-7060 pendant take, and does it come with one?
One medium E26 base lamp, A19 shape, up to 100W at 120V. No bulb is included, so order lamps separately. The fixture is incandescent technology; dimming depends entirely on the lamp you install, so if you need it on a dimmer, choose a dimmable A19 LED or an incandescent and match the dimmer to it.
    2) Can the Faro 60-7060 pendant be used in a covered porch, bathroom or over a kitchen sink?
No. The Faro pendant is rated for dry locations and indoor use only, so keep it out of covered exterior spaces, shower or tub zones, and anywhere it will see steam or splash. Over a kitchen island or in a dining room or entry it's fine. For a covered porch or a bath you need a damp-rated or wet-rated pendant instead.
    3) How much does the NUVO Faro large pendant weigh, and will a standard ceiling box carry it?
It weighs 11.04 lbs. That is under the 50 lb limit a listed outlet box is rated to support, so a properly secured standard box handles it, but a box that is only nailed to a joist or an old pancake box should be swapped for a fixture-rated box or brace. For spacing: the fixture is 12.63 inches in diameter.
    4) Is the NUVO 60-7060 Faro pendant safety listed for commercial jobs?
It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian installations. Note the fixture is reported as containing lead under California Prop 65, so a Prop 65 warning applies for jobs in California.
    5) What finish is the 60-7060 Faro pendant, and is there more than one option?
One finish only: burnished brass with black accents, with clear glass. Body is steel with glass, in a transitional style. If you are standardizing a lobby or corridor run, every unit will match since there is no finish variation to sort out.
