The fixture body itself is 10 inches high. Supply wire is 144 inches, so there is plenty of lead to the canopy. For a 9 or 10 foot ceiling over an island, the full rod stack gets you into normal pendant range; for a taller ceiling you would need a longer-stem fixture.
