NUVO Lighting 60-7631 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What bulb does the NUVO Intersection 60-7631 vanity light take, and is one included?
It takes one medium base (E26) lamp, rated to 60W max at 120V, and no bulb ships with the fixture. NUVO shows it with a T10 tubular lamp, which is the shape that suits the clear glass since the filament is visible. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you put in it, so if you want it on a dimmer, buy a dimmable bulb.
    2) Can the Intersection 1-light vanity be mounted over a bathroom sink or inside a shower?
Over a sink, yes. It is an indoor, wall mounted fixture with a damp location rating, which covers a typical bathroom vanity wall. It is not rated for wet locations, so keep it out of a shower or tub enclosure where it would take direct spray.
    3) Can the Intersection vanity be installed facing up or down?
Yes. NUVO lists it as a wall up or down fixture, so you can aim the clear glass shade upward for indirect light or downward over a mirror or sink. That is a decision made at install, not at order.
    4) Is this NUVO vanity fixture UL listed for a permitted commercial job?
It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian installations. Rating is damp location, indoor, at 120V.
    5) What is the Intersection 60-7631 made of, and does the polished nickel come in other finishes?
Steel body with glass shade, finished in polished nickel with clear glass. Polished nickel is the only finish offered on the 60-7631; a different NUVO finish of the Intersection collection carries a different model number.
    6) How long are the supply leads on the NUVO 60-7631, and how heavy is the fixture?
Leads are 72 inches, which is plenty to reach a box set off to one side. The fixture weighs 2.18 lbs, light enough that a standard wall box with a strap handles it without blocking.
    7) Does this fixture have a Prop 65 warning I need to disclose on a California job?
Yes. The 60-7631 carries a California Proposition 65 warning for lead. If you are supplying a California property, that disclosure travels with the fixture.
