NUVO Lighting 60-7645 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) How high a ceiling can the NUVO Zelda 60-7645 pendant hang from?
The Zelda pendant ships with (2) 6 inch rods and (2) 12 inch rods plus 12 feet of wire, which takes it to a maximum overall height of 50.79 inches. The fixture body itself is 14 inches high and 14 inches in diameter. Use fewer rods for lower ceilings; there is no rod length beyond the four supplied, so for a very tall foyer you would need a different fixture with a longer stem or cable drop.
    2) What bulb do I need to order with the NUVO Zelda 1-light pendant?
Bulbs are not included. It takes one medium base (E26) lamp in an A19 shape, rated to 60 watts maximum. Any standard A19 that fits that wattage ceiling works, including LED or CFL A19 retrofits. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose, so if the room is on a dimmer, specify a dimmable A19.
    3) Can this pendant go over a bathroom vanity or in a covered porch?
The Zelda 60-7645 is damp location rated and classified for indoor use, so a bathroom or a laundry area is fine. It is not wet rated, so keep it out of any spot exposed to direct rain or spray, including an open porch or an uncovered entry. It carries a cETLus safety listing.
    4) How is the NUVO Zelda pendant mounted, and will it hang over a kitchen island?
It is a ceiling-mounted rod pendant, not a track or wall fixture, so it needs a standard ceiling outlet box. At 14 inches in diameter and 4.22 pounds, it is light enough for a typical box and is a common size for island or dining spacing, where pendants of this diameter are usually set roughly 30 inches apart.
    5) Is the Zelda pendant color temperature selectable or an integrated LED?
Neither. It is an incandescent-technology fixture with a replaceable medium base lamp, not an integrated LED, and there is no CCT selector switch. Color temperature is whatever lamp you install, which means you can match it to the rest of a building by specifying the bulb, and a failed lamp is a bulb change rather than a fixture replacement.
    6) Does this NUVO pendant require a Prop 65 warning for a California job?
Yes. The Zelda pendant is flagged for lead under California Proposition 65, so a California installation needs the standard Prop 65 notice handled per your firm's procedure. It does not affect the fixture's electrical listing, which is cETLus.
    7) How much wire comes with the NUVO Zelda pendant for the ceiling connection?
144 inches, 12 feet, of supply wire is included along with the rods. That is plenty of slack for a standard rough-in, and excess gets trimmed at the canopy during install. No bulb and no extension rods beyond the two 6 inch and two 12 inch pieces are supplied.
