NUVO Lighting 60-7918 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) How high a ceiling can the NUVO Lafayette 60-7918 pendant hang from?
The Lafayette 3 light pendant adjusts up to 52.25 inches of overall height. It ships with two 6 inch rods and two 12 inch rods, so you build the drop from the combination you need, down to the fixture body alone at 11.25 inches tall. The supply wire is 144 inches (12 feet), so wiring length is not the limiting factor; the rods are.
    2) What bulbs do I need to order for the NUVO 60-7918 Lafayette pendant?
Bulbs are not included. You need three A19 lamps with an E26 medium base, 60W maximum each, on 120V. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose, so if the room is on a dimmer, buy dimmable lamps.
    3) Can the Lafayette 18 inch pendant go over a bathroom vanity or in a covered entry?
It carries a damp location rating and is listed for indoor use, so a bathroom away from direct spray or a fully covered interior space is fine. Do not use it in a wet location such as an open porch or anywhere exposed to rain. Safety listing is cULus.
    4) How is the NUVO Lafayette 3 light pendant mounted, and will a standard ceiling box carry it?
It is a ceiling mounted pendant weighing 9.28 lbs. That is within what a standard fixture-rated ceiling outlet box supports, but a box rated for fixture support (not a plain device box) is required. Rod mounting means the ceiling needs to be flat or close to it.
    5) What finish and glass does the Lafayette 60-7918 pendant come in?
One configuration only: matte gray steel body with natural brass accents and white opal glass. There is no alternate finish or glass option on the 60-7918, so if you are matching other fixtures in a build, the gray and brass combination is what you get.
    6) Does the NUVO 60-7918 pendant carry a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes, lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture. It is also RoHS compliant. Institutional and government buyers who require Prop 65 disclosure on submittals should note lead on the paperwork.
