NUVO Lighting 60-7915 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO Lafayette 60-7915 flush mount go in a bathroom or over a shower?
The Lafayette 60-7915 carries a damp location rating and is listed for indoor use, so a bathroom ceiling or a covered porch soffit is fine. It is not rated for wet locations, so keep it out of direct spray inside a shower enclosure or anywhere exposed to rain.
    2) What bulb does the NUVO 60-7915 Lafayette flush mount take, and is one included?
It takes a single medium base (E26) A19 lamp, rated to 60W max at 120V. No bulb ships with the fixture, so order lamps separately. An LED A19 in an E26 base works fine if you want lower wattage than 60W.
    3) Is the NUVO 60-7915 UL listed for a commercial corridor or multi-family unit?
The Lafayette 60-7915 is cULus safety listed, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and it is RoHS compliant. It is an indoor ceiling-mount fixture, so corridors, unit entries, and common areas inside the building envelope are within its rating.
    4) Does the NUVO Lafayette flush mount come in finishes other than gray?
The 60-7915 is built one way: matte gray with natural brass accents and white opal glass. If you need a different finish you are looking at a different model number within the Lafayette collection, not an option on this one.
    5) Is the white glass on the Lafayette 60-7915 clear or diffused?
White opal glass, so the light is diffused rather than throwing a visible filament. That matters in bedrooms, hallways, and rental units where a clear glass fixture with a bare A19 would be glary at eye level on a low ceiling.
    6) Does the NUVO 60-7915 require a California Prop 65 disclosure?
Yes. The fixture is flagged for lead under California Proposition 65, which is worth noting if you are submitting product data for a California project or jobsite package.
    7) Does the Lafayette 60-7915 have selectable color temperature?
No. There is no CCT selector switch, because the color temperature comes from whatever lamp you install, not from the fixture. If you are standardizing color across a building, pick one A19 lamp spec and use it throughout.
