NUVO Lighting 62-1201 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Is the NUVO 62-1201 landscape flood a 120V line voltage fixture or a 12V low voltage one?
It runs on 120V line voltage, not a 12V low voltage landscape system. So it wires to a standard 120V branch circuit and will not work off a 12V transformer run. If your existing landscape run is on a low voltage transformer, this is the wrong fixture for that circuit.
    2) Can the NUVO 62-1201 LED flood be used outdoors in rain and sprinkler spray?
Yes. The 6W landscape flood is an outdoor fixture with a Wet location rating, so direct rain and irrigation spray are within its rating. It carries a cULus safety listing and the housing is die-cast aluminum.
    3) Can I put the NUVO 62-1201 on a dimmer or an astronomical dimming control?
No. The 62-1201 is non-dimmable, and the LED is integrated so there is no lamp to swap for a dimmable one. Switch it with a relay, timer, or photocell instead of a dimmer. Color temperature is also fixed, not field selectable.
    4) Do I ever have to relamp the NUVO 62-1201, and how long does it last?
There is nothing to relamp. The LED is integrated into the fixture, rated 50,000 average hours, so maintenance is fixture replacement rather than bulb changes. That is the main reason crews spec it for perimeter and walkway runs where getting a ladder or digging out a buried fixture is the real cost.
    5) Is 6W enough output to light a sign or a building facade accent?
The fixture puts out 640 lumens at 6W with 80 CRI. That is accent-level output, comparable to a small PAR16 flood, and it suits sign wash, shrub and tree uplighting, or a short facade accent. For a large wall wash or a parking area you want a considerably higher lumen flood.
    6) What finish does the NUVO 62-1201 come in if I need to match existing landscape fixtures?
Dark Gray is the finish, and it is the only one offered on the 62-1201. It reads as a neutral utility gray that disappears against mulch and stone, which is why it is a common standardization choice across multi-family and campus grounds.
    7) Does the NUVO 62-1201 carry a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes, lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture. It is also RoHS compliant. If you are a public agency or institutional buyer that requires Prop 65 disclosure in submittals, that is the one to carry forward.
