The SF76-418 takes one PAR30 (R30) lamp with an E26 medium screw base, rated up to 50W at 120V. No bulb ships with the fixture, so order lamps separately. A 50W PAR30 is the ceiling, whether you run incandescent/halogen or an LED PAR30 of equivalent or lower wattage.
2) Can I put this NUVO cylinder light in a bathroom or a covered exterior walkway?
Bathrooms and other damp interior spots are fine: the SF76-418 carries a damp location rating and is cETLus safety listed. It is an indoor fixture, though, so a covered exterior walkway, soffit, or porch exposed to blowing rain is outside what it is rated for. You need a wet-location rated fixture there.
3) How much ceiling drop does the SF76-418 cylinder have, and how wide is it?
It hangs 9.25 inches below the ceiling and measures 4.5 inches in diameter. That drop matters in low-ceiling corridors, stair landings, and closets where head clearance is tight. It is a ceiling-mounted close-to-ceiling cylinder, not a recessed can, so the full 9.25 inches sits in the room.
4) Will this NUVO cylinder work on a dimmer switch?
