    1) Can the TH331 track head be used outdoors or in a covered patio?
    No. The TH331 is rated for dry locations and indoor use only. Keep it out of covered porches, bathrooms over showers, and anywhere subject to moisture or condensation. For those spots you need a damp or wet listed fixture.
    2) Do I get the track rail with the TH331, or just the head?
    The TH331 is a single track head only. You supply the track section, power feed, connectors, and end caps, plus the PAR30 lamp. It mounts to ceiling-run track, so the track itself has to be installed and fed at 120V before the head goes on.
    3) Can I dim a NUVO TH331 track head?
    Dimming on the TH331 is lamp dependent. The head itself has no driver or dimming electronics, it is an incandescent-technology socket fixture, so whether it dims comes down to the PAR30 lamp you put in it and the dimmer on the circuit. A standard incandescent or halogen PAR30 dims on a normal forward-phase dimmer; with an LED PAR30 you need a lamp marked dimmable and a compatible dimmer.
    4) How much does the TH331 stick out from the track, and how much clearance do I need?
    Extension is 8.5 inches from the mounting surface, and the head body measures 4.5 inches long by 4.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches high with a 4.5 inch diameter. In a retail display or gallery run, plan that 8.5 inch drop against sprinkler heads, soffits, and door swings. Weight is just under a pound at 0.98 lbs, so loading a track run with multiple heads is not a structural concern on properly supported track.
    5) Can I swap an LED PAR30 into the TH331 instead of a halogen?
    Yes. The socket is a medium E26 taking a PAR30 short neck lamp, and an LED PAR30 in that base drops straight in. The 75W figure is the maximum the fixture is rated for, so any LED PAR30 sits well under it. What you lose is tunable color, since the fixture has no selectable CCT, the lamp you choose sets the color temperature.
    6) What is the TH331 made of and what does the finish look like on a run of heads?
    Glass and metal construction with a brushed nickel finish, in a Euro-style transitional shape. Brushed nickel reads neutral and hides fingerprints better than polished chrome, which is why property managers use it to match existing satin nickel trim across a building.
