NUVO Lighting TH473 1-Light, LED, 12W Track Head, Small Cylinder, Matte White, 36 degree Beam

No. The TH473 cylinder track head is an indoor fixture with a Dry location rating, so it can't go outdoors, under a covered exterior soffit, or anywhere damp like a shower or an unconditioned car wash bay. Keep it to conditioned interior ceilings.

The LED is integrated, so there is no lamp to buy or replace. It draws 12W and puts out 1020 lumens with an average rated life of 30,000 hours. When the LED reaches end of life, the head gets replaced, not relamped, which is worth planning for on a retail or lobby install with a lot of heads.

The TH473 is dimmable and runs on 120V line voltage. Because the driver is integrated, use a dimmer rated for LED loads rather than an old incandescent-only control, and total the wattage of all heads on the circuit (12W each) against the dimmer's LED rating.

A 36 degree beam from the TH473 is a medium flood. On a standard ceiling it covers a shelf section, a display table, or a run of artwork with a soft-edged pool rather than a tight spot. If you want a hard accent punch on a single object, that calls for a narrower beam head instead. With 1020 lumens at 12W and a CRI of 90, colors on merchandise, food, or artwork render accurately.

Extension is 5.375 inches, which is how far the assembly hangs off the track. The cylinder body itself measures 3.37 by 2.25 by 2.25 inches and the head weighs 0.44 lbs. That low drop and light weight matter in a low-ceiling corridor or over a display case where you don't want the fixture in the sightline.

No, the TH473 is not CCT selectable. There's no field switch, so every head is fixed at its factory color temperature. If you're adding heads to an existing run, order the same model so the whole track stays consistent rather than mixing in a selectable head set at a different point.

It carries a cETLus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian requirements, and the fixture is RoHS compliant. Note the CA Prop 65 disclosure for lead, which matters if you're spec'ing into a California project with reporting obligations.

It's a track head, not a canopy-mount fixture. The head clips into a ceiling-mounted track section that carries the 120V feed, so the power connection is made at the track, not at the fixture. Manufacturer installation instructions and the full spec sheet are published by Satco for the TH473.

The body is aluminum and steel in a matte white finish, not plastic. Metal construction also helps sink heat off the integrated LED driver, which is what protects the 30,000 hour rated life. Matte white is the one finish offered on this head.
