1) Is the Oatey 43927 a replacement flapper for an existing backwater valve, or a complete valve?
The 43927 is the 4 inch PVC flapper with O ring, the internal sealing part of an Oatey backwater valve. The flapper seals closed while the valve is not in use and swings open to pass flow. If your valve body is already solvent welded into the line and only the flapper or its O ring has failed, this is the part that goes back in. It is not a complete valve body.
2) Does the flapper come with the O ring, or do I have to buy that separately?
