Orbit TSB Galvanized Steel Telescoping Support Bracket, Adjustable 16" to 27"

The Orbit TSB Telescoping Support Bracket is a galvanized sheet steel bracket engineered to provide secure, adjustable support for conduit, cable tray, and other electrical raceway runs in commercial and industrial installations. Built by Orbit Industries, this telescoping design extends and locks at any point within its 16" to 27" adjustment range, giving installers the flexibility to fit a wide variety of mounting spans without stocking multiple fixed-length brackets. The galvanized steel construction is designed to resist corrosion, making the TSB bracket a durable choice for both indoor and covered outdoor electrical support applications where long-term reliability matters.

Orbit TSB – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What span will the Orbit TSB telescoping support bracket cover between studs or structural members?
The TSB adjusts anywhere from 16 inches up to 27 inches and locks at any point in that range. That covers 16 inch on-center stud or joist bays at the short end and stretches to 24 inch on-center framing with room to spare, so one bracket handles both common spacings instead of stocking two fixed lengths.
2) Can the Orbit TSB bracket be used outdoors?
It is galvanized sheet steel, which Orbit builds for corrosion resistance in indoor and covered outdoor electrical support work. Covered is the operative word, exposed, weather-washed locations are better served by stainless or hot-dip strut hardware.
3) Is the Orbit TSB bracket only for conduit, or will it carry cable tray too?
Both. The TSB is made to support conduit runs, cable tray, and other raceway systems, with the sheet steel gauge providing the rigidity to hold the run in place. It is a support bracket, not a clamp, so the conduit straps or tray clamps that fasten the raceway to the bracket are a separate item.
4) Do I need a different bracket for each run length on an electrical rough-in?
No. One telescoping TSB covers the whole 16 to 27 inch window, which is the point of the design, a single adjustable bracket in place of several fixed lengths. For an electrician or MRO stockroom that means one line item on the truck instead of three, for new construction rough-in and retrofit work alike.
5) What part number do I order for the Orbit telescoping support bracket?
Order Orbit part number TSB. There is one configuration, the 16 inch to 27 inch telescoping galvanized steel bracket, so there is no finish or length choice to specify.
6) Why does the Orbit TSB say 16 inches when it adjusts to 27?
16 inches is the bracket's closed or nominal size, the figure it is catalogued and sized under. Extended, the same bracket reaches 27 inches, so do not read 16 as the limit of the span it covers.
