The Pass & Seymour 1597 Series is a 15A, 125VAC Self-Test Tamper-Resistant GFCI Receptacle that runs an automatic self-test every three seconds to confirm it is ready to protect. If the device fails its self-test, the red LED indicator light flashes to signal replacement is needed, and the SafeLock™ Protection feature disconnects power to the receptacle if critical components are damaged and ground-fault protection is lost. Rated Class A with a 10kA short circuit rating and UL Listed to UL498, this GFCI meets National Electrical Code® Tamper-Resistant requirements and is FSUL Listed per Federal Specification WC596.
