PDQ EL Series Electrified Power Transfer Hinges

PDQ EL Series electrified hinges carry concealed wiring through the hinge knuckle, transferring power between the frame and the door for PDQ electrified locks, exit devices and trim. They are built on PDQ full mortise 2 ball bearing standard weight and 4 ball bearing heavy weight hinges in steel or stainless steel, and come standard with a non-removable pin.

The EL4 option carries 4 wires (two 20 gauge, two 26 gauge) for a single electrified function. The EL8 option carries 8 wires (28 gauge) to run multiple devices, such as a lock, a request-to-exit switch and a door position switch, through one hinge. ISMC versions of each add a Molex connector so installers can plug in leads instead of hard-wiring each conductor at the hinge.
