PDQ V323277 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the PDQ V32327 Boston lever work on a GT Series lock with a conventional key-in-lever cylinder?
No. The V32327 Boston lever is the small format interchangeable core (SFIC) version, so it is bored for an SFIC core. PDQ lists separate Boston levers for non-cylinder, button lock and conventional key-in-lever functions. If your GT or XGT lock uses a conventional key-in-lever cylinder, order the key-in-lever Boston lever instead, not V32327.
2) Which PDQ locks does the V32327 replacement lever fit?
It is a factory replacement lever for PDQ XGT and GT Series cylindrical locks. PDQ repeats the same part numbers on both the XGT and GT parts pages of the price book, so one part number covers either series.
3) What finishes does the PDQ V32327 Boston lever come in, and what is the part number for each?
Six finishes, each with its own PDQ number: 605 Bright Brass (V323275), 606 Satin Brass (V323278), 613E Dark Oxidized Satin Bronze (V323276), 622 Flat Black (V32327H), 625 Bright Chrome (V323272) and 626 Satin Chrome (V323277). Order by the full suffixed number so the lever matches the roses and trim already on the door.
4) Does a replacement lever come with the SFIC core, or do I order that separately?
The lever only. PDQ lists the SFIC disposable core and the cylinder tailpieces as separate replacement parts, so if you are also replacing the core or the tailpiece those are additional line items.
5) I have Miami style levers on the rest of my building. Can I get this part in that style?
Yes, but not as V32327. PDQ makes the replacement levers in Boston, Miami and Philadelphia styles, and V32327 is specifically the Boston lever. For a matching building standard, order the Miami lever in the SFIC function instead.
6) My GT lock is loose and the handle droops. Is a new lever the right fix?
Not always. PDQ lists lever return springs as their own replacement part, and a drooping lever is usually the spring rather than the lever casting. If the lever itself is bent, broken or you are converting trim, the V32327 Boston SFIC lever is the part. PDQ also lists the mounting screw pack (with hex key and pick) and the boring jig for the anti-rotation through-bolts if you are reworking the mounting.
7) I am putting a GT lock on a 1-3/8 inch door. Do I need anything besides the lever?
Yes, PDQ sells a spacer set specifically for 1-3/8 inch doors as a separate replacement part. The V32327 lever itself does not include it, so add the spacer set to the order for thin doors.
