PDQ V323647 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the PDQ V32364 Miami lever work on my XGT cylindrical lock, or is it GT only?
The V32364 Miami lever is a factory PDQ replacement lever for both XGT and GT Series cylindrical locks. PDQ repeats the same part numbers on the XGT parts pages and the GT parts pages, so one lever covers either series.
2) Does the V32364 lever come with the interchangeable core or any mounting screws?
No. The V32364 is the Miami lever itself, prepped for a small format interchangeable core. The core, the SFIC disposable core, cylinder tailpieces, roses, and the screw pack with mounting screws, hex key and pick are separate PDQ part numbers in the same XGT and GT parts range. Order whichever of those you still need to complete the repair.
3) What finishes does the PDQ Miami SFIC replacement lever come in, and does the part number change?
Six finishes: 605 bright brass (V323645), 606 satin brass (V323648), 613E dark oxidized satin bronze (V323646), 622 flat black (V32364H), 625 bright chrome (V323642) and 626 satin chrome (V323647). The finish code is carried in the last character of the part number, so order by the full number to match the other levers in the building.
4) I have Boston levers on my PDQ locks, not Miami. Can I mix them?
PDQ offers the replacement levers in Boston, Miami and Philadelphia styles, all for the same XGT and GT cylindrical locks. V32364 is the Miami lever. If you are matching existing openings, order the Boston or Philadelphia part instead so the lever shape matches what is already on the doors.
5) Is a replacement lever enough, or should I be replacing the whole PDQ lockset?
If the chassis and latch still work and only the lever is bent, worn or the wrong finish, the lever alone is the cheaper repair and it is a genuine PDQ factory part. If the latch or dead latch is the problem, PDQ lists a standard latchbolt with dead latch and a 2-1/4 inch by 1-1/8 inch square corner faceplate as its own part, along with T strike, ASA (ANSI) strike and full lip strike options each with a matching dust box.
6) My PDQ lock is on a 1-3/8 inch door. Does that change what I order with the lever?
The lever is the same, but PDQ lists a separate spacer set for 1-3/8 inch doors as part of its installation items for GT and XGT locks. If the chassis is going onto a 1-3/8 inch door rather than a standard 1-3/4 inch commercial door, add that spacer set. A boring jig for the anti-rotation through-bolts and lever return springs are also listed separately.
7) Is this PDQ lever rated for commercial door traffic?
It is a commercial door hardware part, supplied for PDQ GT and XGT Series cylindrical locks used in commercial openings. Those are the locks you find in multi-family corridors, schools and offices, and the Miami lever is the factory component for them.
