1) What sizes does the Pemko 390 Series foam weatherstrip tape come in?
The 390 Series open cell polyurethane foam tape is sold in three combinations, all on 17 foot rolls: 3/16 inch thick by 3/8 inch wide in gray, 1/4 inch thick by 3/8 inch wide in white, and 1/4 inch thick by 3/4 inch wide in gray. Pick the thickness against the gap you are closing and the width against the flat surface you have to stick it to, since the tape only holds where the full width contacts the stop or frame.
2) Is open cell foam tape the right choice, or should I use a closed cell or extruded gasket?
Open cell polyurethane is a compression seal for interior and light duty gaps: the cells are unsealed, so the foam squashes easily into an uneven gap and takes up surface irregularity without fighting the door closed. That same open structure passes air and absorbs water, so it is not what you want on an exterior opening taking driving rain or on a door where the seal has to be watertight. For those, go to a closed cell foam or a solid silicone or vinyl bulb gasket in an aluminum retainer.

4) Do I need screws or adhesive to install Pemko 390 weatherstrip tape?
Nothing extra. The 390 Series foam tape has adhesive backing built in, so it goes on with no fasteners and no tools beyond something to cut it. Wipe the stop or frame clean and dry first, since the bond is only as good as the surface under it.
5) Which thickness of Pemko 390 foam tape should I order for my door gap?
Match thickness to the gap you are closing, not the widest gap you can find. The 3/16 inch tape suits a tight, consistent gap where a thicker foam would keep the door from latching. The 1/4 inch gives you more compression range for a door that has settled or a frame that is not dead straight. Both compress, so the tape wants to be slightly proud of the gap when the door is open, not stuffed into it.

Color follows the size on the 390 Series. Gray comes in 3/16 inch by 3/8 inch and in 1/4 inch by 3/4 inch. White is the 1/4 inch by 3/8 inch. So if you need white to disappear against a painted frame, you are ordering the 1/4 by 3/8; there is no white in the 3/16 thickness or the 3/4 width.
