5) Will a Pemko SER module work with my existing hinge prep, or does the door need a different cutout?
It goes into a full mortise hinge prep, meaning a mortised leaf in the door edge and a matching mortised leaf in the frame rabbet, the same prep style as a standard butt hinge. If your openings are prepped for full mortise butts, that is the family this module belongs to. If the door is hung on a continuous geared hinge, half surface, or half mortise hardware, this is not the prep you have and a different transfer method applies.
6) Does the electrician have to be on site the day we hang the doors with a Pemko SER transfer?
No, and that is a scheduling reason to use this module. The current-carrying cables can be stored or handed off to the electrician or security contractor before the electrified hardware goes in, so the door crew hangs doors on their own schedule and the low-voltage trade comes back later to terminate.
