1) Will the RACO 265 box work for NM cable (Romex) runs, or is it conduit only?
The RACO 265 is built for conduit wiring systems. It ships with open knockouts (one 1/2 in., four 3/4 in., four 1 in., plus three 1/2 - 3/4 in. combination TKOs) and no cable clamps, so each entry needs a fitting. For NM cable you would add listed cable connectors in those knockouts or choose a box supplied with NM clamps instead.
2) How do I mount a RACO 265 square box to a stud or strut?
There is no bracket on the 265, so it mounts directly through the box back or side using your own screws, strut hardware, or box hangers. If you need a box that lands on a stud face at a set depth, a bracketed version is the one to spec; the 265 is the direct-mount option.
3) Is the RACO 265 deep enough to use as a junction or pull box for 1 in. conduit?
