1) Will the RACO 8125 octagon box work with EMT conduit runs, or is it meant for NM cable?
The RACO 8125 is built for conduit wiring systems, not cable clamping. It has nine 1/2 in. knockouts for conduit entry on multiple sides and no internal cable clamps, so you terminate EMT or rigid with the appropriate connectors at the knockouts. If you are pulling NM cable, you want a box with built-in cable clamps instead.
2) Is a mounting bracket included with the RACO 8125 4 in. octagon box?
No bracket comes on the 8125. It is a plain drawn steel octagon box intended for direct mounting, surface or box-to-box, so you supply the fasteners or a separate bar hanger for stud and joist work. If you need a nail-on or stud bracket for new framing, specify a bracketed octagon box instead.
3) Does the RACO 8125 have a grounding provision, or do I have to add a ground clip?
Grounding is built in. The 8125 has a raised ground feature for a bonding screw, so you can land the equipment grounding conductor directly in the box without adding a clip to the box edge.
