1) Will the Record USA HA8-LP low energy operator fit where a standard operator header is too tall?
That's the reason the HA8-LP exists. The header on this configuration is 39 inches. It is a surface applied unit, so it mounts onto the face of the frame header rather than needing a pocket or concealed prep.
2) Is the HA8-LP operator push side or pull side mounted?
Push side. This configuration is set up to mount on the push side of the opening, meaning the operator sits on the face of the door the traffic pushes against and the arm swings the leaf away from it. 3) What is the largest door the Record USA HA8-LP standard profile operator will swing?
Up to a 36 inch door leaf in this configuration. That covers the usual 3-0 commercial opening. If the leaf you are automating is wider than 36 inches, this is not the right build of the operator.

Handing does matter on the order. The operator itself is catalogued non-handed, but the build you order is specified left handed or right handed, and this one is the left handed configuration.
