GENERAC RG02515JNAX RG02515JNAX - 25/25 kW, 3600rpm, Alum Enclosure, SCAQMD Compliant (120/240 3 Phase)

The RG02515JNAX is a 25 kW Generac standby unit, rated at 25000 watts with a current rating of 87 A. It is a three-phase machine, so it is sized for commercial panels and light industrial loads rather than a typical single-phase residential service.

Three phase. That matters before you order: a three-phase generator cannot feed a single-phase 120/240 residential service, and a single-phase transfer switch will not work with it. If the building service is single phase, you need the single-phase version of the 25 kW Protector unit instead.

Plan the pad around the unit footprint: assembled dimensions are 77 in wide, 35.25 in deep and 43.5 in high, and it weighs 777 lbs. That weight means a poured concrete pad or an engineered composite pad rated for it, plus equipment to set it, not two people and a dolly. Add your local clearance requirements for combustibles and for service access on the door side.

The RG02515JNAX is the SCAQMD compliant configuration of the 25 kW Protector unit, which is the version specified for installations inside the South Coast Air Quality Management District. If your job is in Los Angeles, Orange, or the non-desert parts of Riverside or San Bernardino counties, this is the variant to quote rather than the standard model.

Yes, that is what the aluminum enclosure on the RG02515JNAX is for. Generac calls it out as corrosion resistant for coastal and salt-water environments, and the frame underneath is steel. The finish is grey. For a shoreline hotel, marina building, or any site that gets salt spray, aluminum is the enclosure you want over painted steel.

Yes. Generac's True Power technology holds total harmonic distortion under 5%, which is the threshold that matters for servers, VFDs, medical equipment, and electronic controls. Clean enough that you are not adding a separate line conditioner for the protected loads.

Mobile Link is standard on the Protector Series, so generator status can be checked from a phone, tablet, or PC anywhere. The mandatory self-test runs through Quiet-Test, which exercises the engine at a reduced RPM, and you can schedule it weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, useful when the unit sits near occupied units or a guest wing. The Evolution Controller handles setup locally with a two-line multilingual LCD, USB flash capability, smart battery charging, and voltage adjustment.

No Prop 65 birth-defect chemical warning is flagged for this unit, and no shipping restrictions are flagged either. For procurement paperwork on a California job, that is one less exception to document.
