1) Is the Rockwood 70 a push plate or a pull plate?
The 70 is a push plate, a flat stainless sheet with four beveled edges and no handle on it. It goes on the push side of the door to take hand and cart contact off the door face. 2) Can I mount a Rockwood 70 push plate without drilling screw holes in the door?
Yes, order it with the SA option. Self-adhesive mounting uses 1/16 inch double face foam tape and the plate ships with no screw holes in it. That is the way to go on a glass door, a laminate face you do not want to perforate, or a door you cannot drill under a lease. Standard mounting is screws instead: the 70 ships with #6 x 5/8 inch oval head sheet metal screws.
3) What screws come with the Rockwood 70 push plate, and can I get self-drilling or security screws instead?
Standard pack is #6 x 5/8 inch oval head sheet metal screws, which suit a wood or pre-drilled hollow metal door. For hollow metal you did not prep, specify TEK for self-drilling screws. Where the plate is somewhere it may get picked at, restrooms, schools, transit, specify TORX for security Torx screws. 4) Does the Rockwood 70 push plate meet ANSI/BHMA A156.6?

5) Will a 3-1/2 inch wide push plate fit a narrow stile aluminum storefront door?

The 70 is a plain push plate with no cutout for a device chassis or trim as it ships, so it is not a drop-in over exit device hardware. Two routes work. Order the 70 with a CFC cylinder cutout if the only thing coming through the plate is a cylinder.
