Rockwood FBS48 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the Rockwood FBS48 filler plate come with screws?
Two #8-32 x 1/2 inch flat head machine screws ship with each plate. Machine screws, not wood screws, so the mounting holes need to be tapped, which is normal in a hollow metal frame that already carried a strike. In a wood jamb you'll want to supply your own screws.
2) How many Rockwood FBS48 filler plates come in a pack?
Sold 25 to a package. That quantity suits a facility standardizing a run of door pairs rather than a one-off repair, which is how these usually get bought: a property manager or MRO buyer stripping flush bolts off a floor of paired openings needs a plate at every one.
3) Is the Rockwood FBS48 filler plate rated for commercial door use?
It's a commercial-duty part, steel construction, and Rockwood hardware of this kind goes into institutional buildings, offices, retail, schools, detention, sports facilities and hospitality. For a light residential repair it's more plate than the opening needs, but it will do the job.
