Rockwood RM850 - 1-1/2" Height Floor Mounted Door Stop, Gray Bumper

The RM850 stands 1-1/2 inches high with a 1-1/4 inch base, so it catches the bottom rail of a door with roughly that much clearance under it. If you have a thick undercut for carpet or an air transfer gap, a low dome like this can pass under the door instead of stopping it, and you want a gooseneck style that reaches up to the door face instead.

Two fastener sets are supplied for the RM850: a #12 x 1-1/2 inch wood screw with a plastic anchor for wood subfloor, and a #12-24 x 1 inch flat head machine screw with anchor for masonry or concrete. A #8 x 1-1/4 inch truss head sheet metal screw and plastic toggle are also included. Mounting is concealed, so no exposed screw heads sit on top of the stop once it is set.

The RM850 has a 1-1/4 inch diameter base, so it covers a single anchor hole roughly centered under it and nothing wider. If the old stop had a larger footprint or a two-screw pattern, you will see the old holes. In that case a bigger base helps: the Deltana UFBD3505 is a 3-1/2 inch round decorative floor bumper and the UFBP4505 is a 1-5/8 inch pattern cap bumper, both solid brass.
