ROFU 9620 SPST Narrow Stile Plate, 2-3/8" Red Mushroom Button, 3A/240V

Both are offered, and you pick one when you order: NO-Momentary or NC-Momentary. Most request-to-exit and door release wiring uses normally open momentary, where pressing the mushroom button closes the circuit for as long as it's held. Normally closed momentary is the one to take when the button has to break a circuit to release, as with some fail-secure or monitored loops. It's a single-pole single-throw switch either way, so it's one circuit, not two.

The ROFU 9620 is a request-to-exit push button with a 2-3/8 inch red mushroom button on a narrow aluminum plate, switched SPST and rated 3A/240V, and it is ordered as either NO-momentary or NC-momentary - you pick one contact arrangement at the time of order. If your controller needs both a normally open and a normally closed contact from the same button, the Detex PB-2100 Series push button control provides Form C terminals, so one device serves both circuits without specifying a mode. That Detex unit also comes with a shroud over the button, which is a different guarding approach than the 9620's tamper-resistant 1/4 inch plate with snake eyes security screws.

The cover plate is 1/4 inch thick aluminum and tamper resistant, and it ships with two snake eyes security screws plus the wrench to drive them. So you get the security fasteners and the tool in the box; you supply the wire and the back box or cutout.

Two finishes: US28 satin aluminum and US40 dark anodized bronze. US28 is the match for clear anodized aluminum storefront; US40 is the one for dark bronze anodized frames. Finish has to be specified on the order. Both finishes are available in either the NO or NC momentary switch.

Treat them as functionally similar but not prep-identical. The ROFU 9620 is built specifically for narrow stile applications, with a 4-3/4 inch by 1-5/8 inch by 1/4 inch narrow plate (a 4-3/4 inch by 3 inch standard plate is the wider option in the 9600 Series), and it ships in US28 satin aluminum or US40 dark anodized bronze to match aluminum storefront. The Detex PB-2100 Series control is a shrouded push button with Form C terminals, so the button guarding and wiring terminations differ from the 9620's exposed mushroom head and SPST switching. On a retrofit, confirm the existing cutout against the plate you are ordering rather than assuming the footprints match.

It's a 2-3/8 inch red mushroom button, the oversized domed style you can strike with a palm or an elbow rather than a fingertip. Red and large makes it read as the exit release to occupants who have never used the door before, which is why it's a common choice for exit corridors and back-of-house doors in commercial buildings.
