1) Is the Sargent 468 deadbolt keyed, or can it only be locked from the inside?
No key. The 468 is a thumbturn x indicator function: one-sided operation, thumbturn on the inside, with the Unlocked/Locked indicator readable from both sides of the door. Nobody unlocks it from the corridor side. That is what makes it work on restroom and exam room doors, but it also means there is no cylinder for maintenance or a master key.
