Satco Lighting 67-125 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the Satco 67-125 exit sign be used as a single face or does it have to be dual face?
The Satco 67-125 combination unit is a single/dual face exit sign, so one part covers both conditions. Wall or end mount it in a corridor where the sign is only read from one direction, or hang it where traffic approaches from both sides and run it with both faces showing. You pick the configuration at install, not at order time.
2) Will the Satco 67-125 exit sign run on 277 volt commercial power?
Yes. The 67-125 is a dual voltage unit rated 120/277 volts, so the same sign goes on a 120V circuit in a residential or light commercial corridor and on a 277V lighting circuit in an office, school, or warehouse. That is useful for standardizing one part number across a building with mixed panels.
3) Can I add remote emergency heads to the Satco 67-125?
The 67-125 is remote compatible, so it can feed remote emergency heads in addition to the lamp heads on the unit itself. That is how you cover a stairwell landing, an electrical room, or a back-of-house area that has no exit sign of its own without adding a second battery unit. Remote heads are ordered separately.
4) Is the Satco 67-125 exit sign green letters or red?
Green legend on a white housing. If the rest of the building already runs green exit signs, this matches; if your other openings are red, mixing colors in one facility looks like a maintenance patch and inspectors tend to flag the inconsistency. Standardize on one color per building.
5) Do I still need separate emergency lights if I install the Satco 67-125?
Not at that location. The 67-125 is a combination unit, meaning the illuminated exit legend and battery backed emergency lamp heads are in one housing on one circuit and one battery. Where you need light down a path of egress that the unit's heads cannot reach, use its remote capability to add heads rather than a second combo unit.
6) What finish does the Satco 67-125 come in?
White only, in a single configuration. There is no black or aluminum housing option on this model, so if the specification calls for a dark housing over a dark ceiling this is not the part.
