Satco Lighting 67-136 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Does the Satco 67-136 emergency light have its own battery, or does it need a host unit?
The Satco 67-136 is a remote head, not a self-contained unit. It runs on low-voltage backup power fed from a separate emergency lighting unit or inverter, so you need a host unit with remote-capacity output to drive it. If you want a fixture that carries its own battery, this is the wrong part.
    2) Can the Satco 67-136 remote emergency light be mounted outdoors or in a damp area?
Yes. The 67-136 is wet location rated, so it can go in covered exterior walkways, parking structures, loading docks, car washes and similar areas where a dry-location-only head would fail.
    3) How many lamp heads does the Satco 67-136 emergency light have?
One. The 67-136 is a single head remote unit, so for a corridor or stair that needs light thrown two directions you would use two of them or a double head remote instead.
    4) How much space does the Satco 67-136 need on the ceiling or wall?
The 67-136 measures 4.50 inches in diameter, so it needs a mounting surface at least that wide plus clearance for the head to aim. That compact round footprint is why it suits tight soffits and ceiling pockets.
    5) What part number do I order for the Satco white single-head wet location remote emergency light?
Order Satco Lighting 67-136 (also printed as 67/136). It is the white, single head, wet location rated remote head with low-voltage backup.
    6) Is the Satco 67-136 an exit sign with letters on it?
No. Despite being grouped with emergency and exit products, the 67-136 is an emergency lighting head that throws light on the egress path during a power loss. It has no EXIT legend. If you need an illuminated EXIT face, you need a separate exit sign.
    7) What finish does the Satco 67-136 remote emergency light come in?
White only. That is the single finish offered on the 67-136, which matches typical white-painted ceilings and soffits without extra field finishing.
