For a property manager or MRO buyer, that means one SKU on the shelf covers warm residential units, 3500K corridors and 4000K back-of-house, and a replacement can be matched to whatever the neighboring fixtures were set to. Wattage is fixed at 10.5W, not selectable.

It carries a damp location rating and is listed for indoor use, so a bathroom ceiling, a covered porch soffit or a laundry room is fine. It is not wet rated, so keep it out of direct spray, including directly inside a shower enclosure where a wet location fixture is required.

No. The LED is integrated with a polycarbonate base, so there is no lamp to change out. Rated life is 50,000 hours, and at end of life the whole fixture gets swapped. Property managers standardizing a portfolio should keep spares of the same model so replacements match.

Black is the finish offered on the S11857. If the other cans in the room have white trims, this one will read as a deliberate accent rather than a match, which is often what people want over a kitchen island or in a dark ceiling.
