1) Is the Satco S29840 a direct replacement for a 60 watt incandescent A19?
Yes, in light output. The S29840 draws 9.8 watts and puts out 800 lumens, which Satco rates as the equivalent of a 60W incandescent. It is the same A19 bulb shape, so it fits the same shades and enclosures. The only difference that matters on the job is the base: this one is GU24, so it only swaps into a GU24 socket.
2) Can I use this LED bulb in a fully enclosed ceiling fixture?
Yes. The S29840 is an enclosed rated lamp, so it can go in a closed dome or jelly jar fixture where heat builds up. It also carries a Damp location rating and mounts in any burning position, base up, base down or horizontal, which covers most flush mount and semi flush ceiling work.
3) Is this GU24 A19 LED dimmable, and will it work on my existing dimmer?
The S29840 is dimmable on 120 volt line voltage circuits.
