Cord and plug only, no lamps. The S8039 is a 24 foot black PVC cord with 12 medium base sockets, so you order twelve S14 medium base lamps to go with it. The 2W figure on the cord is the cord itself, not a lamp load, so your total draw depends on which S14 LED lamps you pick. Buying the cord bare is how most people spec it, because it lets you choose color temperature and lamp style per site.

It is wet location rated and IP44, listed for indoor or outdoor use, so rain and washdown on an open patio are within rating. IP44 covers splashing water from any direction; it is not a submersion or pressure spray rating, so do not run it where it will sit in standing water or take a direct jet. The cord jacket is PVC and it carries a cETLus listing.

No hardwiring. Mounting is plug in and hook, so it lands on a standard 120V 60Hz receptacle and hangs from hooks, eye screws, or a guide wire along the run. That makes it portable equipment rather than a permanent fixture, which is why property managers can put it up on a patio or in a breezeway without pulling an electrician. Support the cord at the hooks; the cord itself is not a load bearing catenary.

It is cETLus Listed, which covers both US and Canadian markets, and it is FCC compliant and RoHS compliant. Black only. The PVC cord and sockets are black, which is what most commercial patios and breezeways spec because it disappears against a dark soffit or a guide wire at night. If a job calls for a white cord to match a light colored ceiling, this part number will not do it, so that has to be a different cord.
