1) Can I put the Satco S9599 in a bathroom or a covered exterior soffit?
Bathroom ceilings and other damp interior locations, yes. It carries a damp location rating and is listed for indoor use. Do not put it in an open exterior soffit, an unroofed porch, or anywhere it can take direct rain or spray, that needs a wet location rated retrofit.
2) Will the Satco S9599 match the warm color of the incandescent downlights already in my building?
2700K is the fixed color temperature, which is the warm yellow-white that reads closest to incandescent. It is not a field selectable unit, so every one you install lands on the same 2700K. If the rest of your ceiling is running 3000K or 3500K the difference will be visible side by side, and you would want to standardize the whole run.
3) Does the Satco S9599 meet California Title 24 for residential recessed lighting?
No. The S9599 is not Title 24 compliant, so it should not be specified for a California job where the permit requires JA8 compliant luminaires. It is cULus certified and classified, FCC compliant, and RoHS compliant, which covers most jurisdictions outside that requirement.
