1) What does the Schlage A170 dummy trim actually include, and does it latch?
The A170 is trim only. There is no cylinder, no latch, and no hardware on the inside of the door. It mounts a fixed knob on one face and nothing turns or retracts, so it can't hold a door closed. 4) Can I get Schlage A170 dummy trim to match the working locks already on my other doors?

The A170 comes in the same four A Series knob designs, Georgian, Levon, Orbit, Plymouth, plus Tulip, and in six finishes: 605 bright brass, 606 satin brass, 609 antique brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze, 625 bright chrome and 626 satin chrome. 6) What is the closest equivalent to a Schlage A170 single dummy knob from another commercial brand?
The BEST 6K Series single dummy trim is the nearest cross-brand match: it is a Grade 2 non-keyed cylindrical knob in dummy function, the same function and grade as the Schlage A170.
