Schlage Commercial 10-013 T-Strike w/Box, 1-1/8" x 2-3/4", Square Corner

The 10-013 is the T-strike for Schlage A Series, B250 Series, S Series (Standard), AL Series, F Series and D Series knobs, and it is optional on ND Series levers. That covers most of the cylindrical knob and lever line, so if you are standardizing a building on Schlage cylindrical hardware you can carry one strike across those openings rather than stocking a different plate per series.

The box is included. The 10-013 ships as a T-strike with box, so you get the plate and the strike box that lines the latch pocket in the frame in one order. Nothing else is needed to complete a standard strike replacement beyond the mounting screws that go into the existing jamb holes.

Nine finishes are offered on the 10-013: 605 bright brass, 606 satin brass, 612 satin bronze, 613 oil rubbed bronze, 619 satin nickel, 622 matte black, 625 bright chrome, 626 satin chrome, and 643E aged bronze. Order by the BHMA number stamped on your existing lockset rather than by the name, since satin chrome 626 and satin nickel 619 look close on a jamb but will not match a lever side by side. Every one of those finishes is available in both the 1-1/8 inch and the 1-1/2 inch strike width.

Yes, if the problem is the strike and not the latch. The 10-013 is a replacement part, and it is listed as an option for ND Series levers, so it is a direct order for that hardware. Before you swap it, check that the latch is fully extending and the door is not sagging, because a strike change fixes a worn or misaligned lip but will not correct a door that has dropped in the frame. Match the strike width, 1-1/8 or 1-1/2 inch, to the plate you are pulling off.

It matters. The 10-013 has square corners, which suits a frame mortised with a chisel or a square-cornered prep. If your jamb was routed and has rounded corners in the cutout, a square-corner plate will not seat flush at the ends and you either dress the corners square or order a radius corner strike instead. Look at the pocket in the frame, not the old plate, since a previous installer may have forced the wrong one in.

It is a stainless steel commercial strike, which is what you want on a door that cycles all day: the latch drags across the lip every time the door closes, and stainless holds that wear without the lip curling the way a thin plated plate can. This is Schlage's commercial line, not a residential builder plate.
