1) Will a Schlage 20-022 rim cylinder key into the Schlage locks already on my building?
Keying into an existing Schlage system is the normal use for it. The modular cylinder design accepts any Schlage keyway and fits all Schlage locksets and deadbolts, so the decision is which keyway and how it gets pinned, not whether it fits. It is a conventional cylinder, pinned internally, so a locksmith cuts and pins it to your existing key rather than dropping a core into it. 2) How do I make sure the Schlage rim cylinder I order accepts the keys I already carry?
Match the keyway section, because a cylinder in the wrong section will not take your key blank at all. 10) Will this rim cylinder work on an aluminum storefront door with an Adams Rite deadlock?
Wrong family for that opening. Narrow stile aluminum doors running Adams Rite MS deadlocks take a mortise cylinder or a cylinder pull. The Adams Rite 4036 is a Grade 1 five pin mortise cylinder that works on doors down to a 1/2 inch minimum thickness, which is where a storefront stile lands. If the door needs a pull as well as a key, the 4024 cylinder pull with trim plate mounting and the 4025 five pin cylinder pull with through screws are both made for the MS1847 deadlock and deadlatch, and the 4026 is the version for the 5017 wood door deadlock. The Schlage rim cylinder belongs on rim mounted locks and devices.
11) If I stock Schlage modular cylinders in the van, can I turn one into a mortise or key-in-lever cylinder on the job?
That is what the modular platform is for. 19) I only need to fill the hole where an old rim cylinder was. Do I have to buy a working cylinder?
