1) Will a PowerPact H-frame breaker work for a rooftop AC unit or refrigeration equipment?
Yes, it is HACR rated, which is the marking inspectors look for on breakers feeding heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment with motor-compressor loads. The thermal element rides through normal motor inrush while the magnetic element handles short circuits. It is also rated utilisation category A and works on 50 or 60 Hz systems.
2) How much space do I need in the panel or enclosure for a 3-pole H-frame breaker?
Each 3-pole H-frame unit measures 6.42 in high, 4.09 in wide and 3.39 in deep, and those dimensions hold across the whole 15 to 150A span, so a 15A and a 150A take the same footprint. Mounting is by bracket. Allow for your line and load lug projections and wire bending space on top of the breaker body itself.
3) Is this breaker UL listed for use as branch circuit protection in a US commercial panel?

The D class runs 20, 30, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100 and 150A. The G class is 20, 30, 50, 60, 100, 125 and 150A. If you need 15A or 40A or 90A, the J class is where those land.
6) Can these breakers go in an unheated mechanical room or an outdoor enclosure?
Operating range is -25 to 70 degrees C ambient, with storage down to -50 and up to 85 C, so an unconditioned mechanical room, attic or a properly rated outdoor enclosure is within spec. Keep in mind the amp ratings are calibrated at 40 C, so above that you lose capacity and hot enclosures need derating.
7) Is the Schneider H-frame a plug-in or bolt-on breaker like an Eaton BAB?

9) Does a 3-pole H-frame breaker protect all three phases, and how are the poles connected?
All three poles are protected, shown as 3t in the pole data, so an overload or fault on any phase trips the whole breaker and opens all three legs together. Phase connection is ABC. Operation is by a standard toggle handle, so you get the trip-position indication between ON and OFF that tells an electrician the device tripped rather than being switched off.

No. The Eaton 2TA401K is a terminal accessory for Series C 400A frame breakers with Cu/Al conductors, so it is sized and keyed to that frame. The PowerPact H-Frame 3-pole uses terminal AL150HD and is wired with a 16 mm wire stripping length. Order lug and connection accessories against the H-Frame terminal identifier rather than a 400A frame kit.
13) Does an Eaton NZM undervoltage release fit a Schneider PowerPact H-Frame?
No - the Eaton 10250T-GR undervoltage release is built for Eaton NZM series molded case breakers, not for the PowerPact range.
