Metallics 0001B – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Metallics 0001B bit fit a standard cordless drill or impact driver?
It has a 1/4 inch hex shank, so it drops into any 1/4 inch hex quick-change chuck, bit holder, or a standard three-jaw drill chuck. Overall length is 1 inch, which makes it a stubby insert bit rather than a power bit, so you need a magnetic holder or quick-change collet to seat it.
2) What screw slot size does the Metallics 0001B slotted bit drive?
It's a slotted (flat) tip ground to a 0-1 point, the small end of the slotted range used on device terminal screws and small machine screws. If you are driving the larger combination-head screws on receptacles and breakers, you want a bigger slotted point than a 0-1.
3) Is the Metallics 0001B sold individually or in a bulk pack?
One bit per pouch. Model 0001B is a single-piece item, so for a crew or multiple gang boxes you order the count you need rather than getting a multi-pack.
