A standard slotted or Phillips wall plate screw comes out with a coin or a pocket knife; the two-pin spanner head on the TP812SOC will not. If the opening is in a locked room or a tenant space, standard 8-32 screws are simpler and cheaper to maintain.
4) Is the TP812SOC an oval head or a flat head screw?
Oval head. It seats in a countersunk hole like a flat head but leaves a low rounded crown above the surface, which is what standard stainless wall plates and cover plates are punched for. If your plate is drilled for a true flush flat head or a raised pan head, the oval won't sit the way the plate expects.
