The SharkBite U280LF is a 1/2" x 1/2" MNPT push-to-connect elbow built for rough-in plumbing where soldering, clamps, unions, or glue aren't practical. This lead-free fitting connects copper tubing, CTS CPVC, and PEX pipe in any combination, making it a versatile choice for plumbers and contractors working across mixed pipe systems. Simply insert the pipe into the push-fit end and the internal stainless steel teeth grip the pipe while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to form a seal — no torch or flame needed. The threaded end terminates in a 1/2" MNPT connection for joining to threaded valves, fixtures, or adapters. Fittings are certified to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F (93 degrees C).
