The Sioux Chief 653-B Hydra-Rester is a water hammer arrester built to absorb shock and quiet the banging noise that occurs when fast-closing valves and solenoid-operated fixtures shut off water flow suddenly. It installs with a 3/4" MIP (male iron pipe) threaded connection directly into the rough-in supply line, and is built to the ASSE-B size so it can be matched to the correct fixture unit load at the point of installation. Each unit is manufactured in Canada and packaged 16 per case for distributor stock and jobsite use.
